Through the generous donation of a local duvet and bedding company, CultureLink’s Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) were able to give their clients duvets for their families. What better time of year than the middle of the winter to receive a brand new down comforter!
SWIS provides one-on-one support, which helps newcomer families access important resources during the first few months and years of their new lives in Canada. Getting to know the school and its resources is a huge part of getting settled. It is the life of their children that newcomers are most invested. They wish for them to have a positive learning experience and enjoy their days at school.
