The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development works to promote the safe, fair and harmonious workplace practices that ensure the social and economic well-being of the people of Ontario. The Ministry is responsible for protecting workers, settling workplace disputes, supporting skilled trades, apprenticeships and employment services, attracting highly-skilled newcomers and helping people get settled in Ontario. These services include working with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Health and Safety Associations (HSAs), educating employers and employees about their workplace rights and obligations, help Ontarians adjust to changes in the economy, refrain and find work and promote skilled immigration.

The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services commits towards improving the outcomes of children, youth, families and vulnerable individuals and to push forward women’s equality and safety across Ontario. The Ministry’s key areas of focus include overseeing the delivery of child protection services, ensure the access of timely and effective services to children and youth with special needs, work with First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Urban Indigenous communities and high-risk youth, provide financial and employment supports to low-income Ontarians, and more.
