This interactive workshop is designed to help job seekers navigate the Canadian job market by providing key insights into crafting a winning Canadian-style resume. Participants will gain practical, actionable tips on how to showcase their skills, experience, and qualifications effectively, while avoiding common pitfalls that can prevent their resumes from standing out.
The session will begin with an engaging presentation covering essential tips and guidelines for building a Canadian-style resume. Topics will include:
- The do’s and don’ts of resume writing in Canada
- Key differences between Canadian and international resume formats
- How to tailor your resume for specific job postings
- Highlighting transferable skills and qualifications
- The importance of keywords and aligning your resume with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
The second part is One-on-One Resume Critique Session.
Attendees will have the opportunity for personalized feedback on their resumes. This segment will be highly interactive, allowing participants to bring their current resumes and receive tailored guidance from our expert facilitators. The session will focus on helping individuals refine and improve their resumes, ensuring they are optimized for the Canadian job market. Each participant will receive practical advice, tips on formatting, and suggestions for content improvement.
